If you've watched TV or read the newspapers over the last several weeks (And who hasn't?!), you know that Saddam Hussein is a bad man who has to be stopped. Our president says so. Colin Powell says so. Even Al Gore says so even though he lost to President Bush in the last election!
If there was any doubt in anyone's mind about the need for Operation Infinite Kick Saddam's Ass, it was brushed aside with Gen. Powell's brilliant presentation in front of the United Nations.
The one down side to war, though, is that it costs money. And while a war with Iraq will no doubt pay for itself once we've tapped into that country's valuable oil resources, coming up with money to pay for all those soldiers and all those weapons is gonna be tough. Thomas L. Friedman (who is also for the war in Iraq) says it might cost something like a trillion dollars! Where are we gonna get that kind of money? We're in a recession, and we have to cut taxes to stimulate the economy, not mire our workers in poverty by raising them.
That's why we've decided to celebrate Presidents Day by launching this site, BuyaWar.com. It's a site where honest, hard-working, evil-hating Americans can go online and fight Saddam and his terrorist minions with a click of a mouse. If every American donates as little $100 (just $1 a week for two years), we'll have $28 billion to help vanquish the evil-doers. But why stop with Americans? Surely there must be other evil-hating people in the world, too! We're setting our sights on $50 billion, which ought to buy some really nice bombers and maybe get those pricey Comanche helicopters into the field a bit faster so they can start kicking Iraqi butt!
