Super Bowl 40

Super Bowl XL: Operation Distract and Delay
by Flak Staff

It's February, and that can only mean one thing: crushing seasonal affective disorder.

Fortunately, Dr. NFL has the cure: massive doses of championship football and an onslaught of whimsical advertisements.

The timing of Super Bowl XL couldn't be better. After an onslaught of scandals and national disasters, America is ready to start anew — or at least think about something else for a weekend.

And so as crusading hero John Boehner rises to the challenge of cleaning up government, Flak Magazine's staff will review every Super Bowl commercial in real time, and ask ourselves: Will this ad soothe the mind of scandal-weary Americans?

From Flak's temporary and beer-and-pizza inundated Chicago headquarters, we wish you happy viewing and an "XL"ent time. Here come the ads!

Ad reviewers include: Eric Wittmershaus, Benjamin Chandler, Dan Norton, Lisa Muccigrosso, Andy Behrens, Claire Zulkey, Micah Wright, Alissa Rowinsky, Stephanie Kuenn, Aemilia Scott, Taylor Carik, Ashley Sy, Wayne Lewis, Joseph C. Krupnick, Clay Risen, James Norton
