Super Bowl AdsSuperbowl XXXIX: Break 02

"The Pacifier" | Disney

Summary: Vin Diesel in a Kindergarten Cop-like movie where he has to babysit some kids.

Low Point: Holy crap is this a bad idea for a movie.

Will this ad fight tyranny? If "The Pacifier" is to be used as a form of torture..., I mean, interrogation for our enemies, it will clearly be effective.

"Cliches" | Fed Ex

Summary: Super Bowl advertisement cliches are rattled off.

High Point: Burt Reynolds and the Bear dancing.

Will this ad fight tyranny? If the bear can kick a tyrant in the 'nads. Burt doesn't quite qualify.

"Desert Island" | Bud Light

Summary: Cedric and pal talking about what three items they'd have on a desert island.

High point: Initial fantasy of two women and beer shown for the bad idea that it is. Women replaced with grill and fridge.

Low point: Sigh... it's just a fantasy.

Will this ad fight tyranny? No, but it's sure to piss off the ladies.

"Stayin' Alive" | Diet Pepsi

Summary: Man does "Stayin' Alive" walk from Saturday Night Fever as he is ogled by passers-by.

High point: Was that Cindy Crawford?

Low point: Was that supposed to be an advertisement?

Will this ad fight tyranny? This ad won't be remembered five minutes from... uh... what was I talking about?
