Mark E. Hayes

Compared to the other spring chickens at Flak, Mark E. Hayes is very old. I mean really frickin old. He writes for Flak only to pass the time online when he isn't shopping eBay for cheap Herbal-V, bulk boxes of adult diapers, and VCR tapes of obscure John Wayne movies. Like Freud, he enjoys a good cigar. Also like Freud, he suspects that the conflict between sexual needs and societal mores is the source of mankind's propensity for dissatisfaction, aggression, hostility and ultimately, violence. This is why he smokes. He is involved in a massive conspiracy to corrupt the minds of the Youth of the America through his employment at a very tony prep school in South Florida. His reviews, essays and poetry appear from time to time on the web, in print, on his blog, and on the airwaves.
