REVCO's Linger Ficken Good a tasty treat

NC: I'm a big REVCO fan and I've loved them since I was a wee babe. The album had a really good sound to it and it sounded a little more professional than some of the other stuff I've heard (from REVCO). But, some of the tracks ... well ... they just drag on a lot. I think, however, it is worth buying for "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" and that last track ["Linger Ficken' Good"] as well.

Mini-Revue:
NC: Reasonably good but had weak points ... overall a strong album.
AM: Hard to compare to other stuff I've reviewed ... a lot of fun to listen to ... you could skip over a couple of the tracks.
JR: Jeepers ... far above average, but not when compared to other Jourgensen-Barker releases ... I liked it a lot.
LB: Entertaining and fun to listen to... fairly well done ... did get a little dull over some of the tracks but kept original.

AM: I'm not a REVCO buff like Nick, but I must say I was impressed by this CD. It got kind of weaker during the second half. Some of the songs just repeat and repeat and repeat and would be good to dance to, but they're boring to listen to. The last song was funny, the "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" thing was really funny, and there are some good tracks that just stand up on their own and are definitely worth listening to. So, I plan to dub this from someone else real soon.

JR: OK, I liked it. I thought over all it was a pretty good album. It was monotonous, but what can you expect from industrial music. That's what you're gonna get. Most of the tracks had some original things on them which was good and most of them could stand up by themselves. It would be a good alburn to read a book to. I'm planning on dubbing it also.

LB: I'm not a particularly big Industrial fan so I have trouble kinda taking it seriously.

AM: You're not supposed to. [laughter]

LB: It was something new to me, I enjoyed it, I suppose. It seemed pretty original. When you're a person not used to a certain kind of music, all of it sounds the same. I didn't get that feeling from this. Some of it was very ... interesting.
