"Git yer dam hat off and keep it off!" "sombrero Sombrero SOMBRERO!" I've heard these sayings (and more) way too much! What the hell is the problem with hats? I'll tell you what it is.

Libby said it was because hats are disrespectful to the teachers. It would have been the same if she had said "Please don't wear hats, please don't hurt me, I didn't make the rule, let's all be happy!" The real reason for this rule is gangs. No matter what anybody says, it's all about gangs.

Now, gangs are a problem in this school and parents know it. The parents wanted the school to do something to stop it. The easiest thing to do would have been to throw them all out, but that wouldn't be fair, so they ban hats.

Now, in fear of being called racist (by gang members and parents) they have everybody take off their hats; not turn them straight, not wear them backwards, but remove them. The thing is, the only people taking off their hats are the school-respecting teens. Guess who doesn't remove their hats? I'm not even going to say.

Even Challenges, a fucking arcade, has solved this problem by having everyone wear their hats forward, or you're out. Now throwing kids out of school for not wearing their hats forward is quite drastic, isn't it? Think again! Right now, they're sending kids home because they brought hats! Kinda stupid, huh?

Now I'm not saying "REVOLT!" or anything. I'm just saying question the school's acts more often, and see what you can do to change the rule.
