How I spent my summer vacation

a photo essay by Jim Norton

The following document is not really a story. Though it has a beginning, a middle, and a definite end, there are no real themes. The characters are somewhat ill-defined. And many of the photos are crappy.

But I think you'll enjoy the journey, nonetheless. Along the way, you can watch Jon get harassed by a small dog. Marvel at Ari's ability to fall asleep. Encounter strange new people like Heather, Lavina, and The Tow Truck Guy. Learn to laugh and love with Eric Wittmershaus. And explore San Francisco with Kathy.

We start, of course, in Iowa.

ROCKIN' HARD IN BOULDER

And that, minus a glorious meal at a Vietnamese restaurant, the wonders of the In-N-Out burger, the fabulous Golden Gate Bridge, creepy creepy Haight Street, Boulder's best sushi restaurant and a host of other little precious moments, is the trip.

Thanks for checkin' it out.

PLUR,

Jim
